DX Courier Expand DX Courier have been generously supporting Vision Aid Overseas since the 1990s by donating their service to us. DX kindly pick-up used glasses, which Opticians and Practices collect on our behalf, and deliver them to our head office for recycling to support our programme work overseas.

Retrospecced Expand Retrospecced recycles and refurbishes retro and designer spectacle frames. It’s a unique social enterprise founded by Tracey and Lucy, a mother and daughter who are passionate about sustainable fashion and who believe in the power of business to be a force for good. Retrospecced supports Vision Aid Overseas by donating 20% of the profit generated through the sale of refurbished retro and designer frames. The concept of Retrospecced means that the refurbished frames can be enjoyed by someone else whilst also raising money to help disadvantaged adults and children in Africa to see clearly so that, children can see to learn and an education and adults can see to earn and provide for their families.
Specsavers Optical Group Expand Specsavers Optical Group and Vision Aid Overseas have a major project partnership aimed at developing sustainable eyecare services across the whole of Zambia as well as supplying the country with 10 fully functional vision centers. In 2011, Specsavers opened The Dame Mary Perkins Optometry Training Centre in Chainama College named after the founder of Specsavers; Dame Mary Perkins. Specsavers also support Vision Aid Overseas with a lots of different fundraising activities including having our collecting tins and glasses recycling points in their high street branches as well as their employees taking part in fundraising events.
