For every pair sold, Deadstock Eyewear supports Vision Aid Overseas by donating £5, the cost of an eye test and pair of glasses in a Vision Aid Overseas’ programme country.

Founded in 2016 by Optometrist Tim Morgan, Deadstock Eyewear is a Vintage spectacle boutique that sources and sells unworn vintage frames. The frames gathered into the collection span decades, countries and styles but have all been brought together through the Deadstock Eyewear branded cases and cloths.

Mr Morgan told us;

Before launching our website in June 2018, we had been quietly gathering a collection of unworn unique vintage frames which are now available for purchase on our website.  You can purchase the frames only, or we can also glaze them with prescription, clear or sun-glass.

This summer, Deadstock plans to bring these vintage frames near you by organising pop-up stands at festivals as well as at various fashion and music events.

Mr Morgan continued;

The vintage scene is vibrant and exciting.  There are so many people across the country who crave a genuine vintage look, but this is not always easy to find.  The very nature of vintage means you can’t just make more – there is what there is!

Mr Morgan said:

I’ve been a member of Vision Aid Overseas since being a student and have enjoyed four overseas projects with them.  I’m passionate about their ambitions and marvel at how the charity has developed in recent years.  I and all the team at Deadstock Eyewear are so excited to have found a new way to support the charity… to explore and discover some great spectacles which could have been lost to history… and also have great fun in the process!
