Vision Aid Overseas hosts another successful Annual General Meeting


On Sunday 22nd October 2017, Vision Aid Overseas hosted its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Holiday Inn, Coventry.

The day began with a Members’ Meeting with presentations by our Chief Executive Officer- Nicola Chevis, Director of Programmes- Anne Buglass, Professional Volunteer Co-ordinator- Judith Trigg and our Director of Fundraising and Communications- Andy Holliday.


The formal AGM proceeded with a welcome from our Chairman, David Scott-Ralphs and Treasurer Peter Corbett who presented the Annual Report and Accounts 2016/17 to the members.

The AGM was then followed by a buffet lunch where awards were presented to seven members in recognition of their commitment and contribution to the work of Vision Aid Overseas. 

The first award presented was the Champion Award, which was granted to four of the longest-standing volunteers, recognising their exceptional service, contributions and commitment to the work of Vision Aid Overseas. The second, the Trustees’ Recognition Award, was awarded to our newest volunteers for their outstanding contributions and commitment to our work so far.

Trustee’s Recognition Award: Manveer Seyan, Gaumaya Gurung, Claire Allen
