On Sunday 26 November 2017 I'll be running 10,000 metres at 2,500 feet to raise money for Vision Aid Overseas because 640 million people worldwide can't see properly simply because they don't have access to a simple eye test and a pair of glasses. Children who can't see properly can't learn effectively and adults who can't see properly can't earn effectively to support their families and communities. Vision Aid Overseas works in Burkina Faso, Ghana, Serra Leone, Zambia and Ethiopia, with some of the worlds most marginalised people, providing training for eye care workers, Vision Centres and outreach eye care. It can cost as little as £5 to provide a life changing eye test and pair of prescription glasses that will enable children to learn and adults to earn effectively.
