Vision Aid Overseas Conference 2012

Vision Aid Overseas Conference 2012

THANK YOU TO ALL WHO CAME TO OUR CONFERENCE 2012!

Over 80 international delegates converged at the Association of Optometrists office in London on Sunday, 21 October for the Vision Aid Overseas Conference 2012.

With the theme ‘Eye Care and Primary Health Development’, the event focused on the impact and delivery of charitable eye care projects overseas, sustainability vs direct aid and the global prevalence of visual impairment.

Speakers included keynote, Dr Uduak Udom, Immediate Past President of the African Council of Optometry, Professor David Thomson, Dr Robert Lindfield, Dr Imran Khan, Bill Harvey and Dr Godwin Ovenseri-Ogbomo from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana.

It was an extremely successful day (standing room only after lunch!) with lots of delegates giving extremely positive feedback. Vision Aid Overseas would also like to thank the Conference sponsors: ABDO College, Ocuco, Rodenstock, Topcon and Transitions for giving their support to the event and is especially grateful to the AOP for providing the use of the fantastic venue.
